Go to the Data tab and start adding some data to Reveall!

Some examples of data you can add to Reveall include:

  • Research notes

  • User interview recordings

  • Survey responses

  • Feedback responses

  • User test results

  • Industry reports

  • Customer support chats

Your data is all information you have. After you add your data you can then neatly organize it with tags + tag categories, and link your data to the relevant theme.

You'll later highlight the key information and turn these into findings, which will be visible for all viewers of the project.

There are 3 ways to data, including:

  • Creating a note (under 'Notes')

  • Uploading a file (video, audio, PDF) + transcribing the content (under 'File(s)')

  • Importing data from other tools via our Zapier integration

Supported files are:

PDF (max 50 pages)

Audio: mp3, mpeg, ogg, wav

Video: MP4, ogg and Webm (max 800MB)

1. Creating a note

In the data tab, simply click ' + New data', on the top right corner of the page to start creating your note.

Start typing your notes under 'Note'.

💡You can take notes directly in Reveall while doing research or copy & paste notes over from elsewhere.

Use the text editor to format and visualize your data.

You can:

  • Attach (drag & drop) images and videos

  • Format your text any way you want (bold, italic, strikethrough, headings, bullet lists, numbered lists, quote blocks, etc.)

  • Copy paste formatting from external sources

  • Add links

  • Add and edit tables

2. Uploading and transcribing videos (and other files)

With Reveall, you can upload video and audio files and automatically transcribe them into editable plain text at the click of a button.

Here's how you transcribe both audio and video files:

  1. In Data, choose to upload a video under File(s)

  2. Select the language of your video (we currently offer English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese and Arabic, and can add many more on request).

  3. Hit the 'Transcribe video' button and the transcription will begin. This can take a couple of minutes (depending on the length of the video). You will receive an email notification when the transcription is done!

  4. If you haven't already, add a title, description and tags to your video, and link it with the relevant theme. This way you and your colleagues will have no trouble finding it later.

  5. Click 'Add data' to finalize your note. You can do this while your transcription is processing.

In addition to transcribing video and audio files, you can also extract text from PDF files (e.g. from industry reports). Just follow the same steps as above.

3. Importing data from other tools via our Zapier

Every company has different tools they use for collecting customer research and feedback data. Thanks to our Zapier integration, you can import data from thousands of tools straight into Reveall.
